Art Club Grades K-5th

The pace is relaxed, and the studio inspiring & creative. Art Club kids will experience artist studies, drawing lessons, a variety of projects & techniques, and a wonderful range of amazing artist-quality materials.  Eight consecutive sessions encourage friendships, in-depth and open-ended projects for young artistic minds. Drop off. $225*

Projects include this session:
Hanging clay sculptures--learn how to create shapes and textures into an artist quality air-dry clay before wiring them together.
Resin Letter Keychains!  A Yucandu fan fav...and perfect for hanging on backpacks.
Posca Markers--draw little neon doodles onto a set of black Artist Trading Cards.  The possibilities are endless!
Watercolor--learn the art of making cat eyes!  We will add the eyes into a cool cat collage too.
Framed Self Portrait--draw yourself on vellum using the trick of tracing.

A note from Tues & Thurs Instructor:  Hello!! I’m Madison Sanfilippo and I can’t wait to meet everyone!  I am very passionate about learning with children, I have worked with ages 0-5 for the past 4 years—one of those years as an Art Teacher!  I am currently an Art & Design student at STLCC.  Creativity is a part of my essence, raised by a family of artists who valued exploration and originality from my earliest days.   From coloring in the lines at 2 years old to sitting on Microsoft Paint for hours at 4 years old, to now and everything-in-between, art has been my constant.  I am so excited for the opportunity to help children learn, collaborate, and create!
