Most folks think of us as an art studio just for kids.  Not sure why…  Hmmm, we wonder if it’s the fact that all kids consider themselves creative, even artists, and as we grow older, that feeling diminishes to the point of feeling not creative at all, let alone an “artist.”

Holly & I believe everyone is creative and has a deep desire to express it—whether through gardening, cooking, writing, or even problem solving. Arts & crafts especially beckon us back to the freedom of expressing ourselves creatively. It’s wonderful to see women working/relaxing on projects like mosaic stepping stones for their gardens or photo collages for their homes or as gifts.  Yucandu has the space, tools, materials, projects and inspiration for all skill levels.

To celebrate the growing number of women utilizing our studio, we’ve come up with a weekly event called Wednesdays for Women.  On Wednesdays, women can enjoy half price studio fees in the open-studio, attend a monthly collage club, take a workshop and benefit women’s charities with 10% of all sales.  The workshops are the only thing that requires pre-registration.  They’re perfect for those who want more step by step instruction and supplies that are prepped and ready to go.
