Yucandu Art Studio is also a retail mosaic supply store as well as an open-studio available to all skill and age levels. Yucandu has a large selection of basic as well as hard to find items and supplies for both the beginner and seasoned mosaic artist. Yucandu has served the community since 2003 in the heart of historical and artistic downtown Webster Groves.
We offer a complete mosaic shopping experience and with dozens of different types of tesserae (tiles),as well as tools, adhesives, sealers, grout, and paint—basically, everything you need to make a mosaic in our open-studio or to outfit a home studio.
We also stock a vast selection of substrates (bases) made of wood, metal, paper-mache, and cement. Our tesserae includes dozens of Italian Venetian glass and smalti (most of which is vintage and said to be from the Basilica Cathedral), stained glass, mirror, millifiori, glitter tile, hard-to-find miniature cement tiles, and tons of china.
Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or expert mosaic artist, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you select exactly what you need for your first or next project. For $3/hour or $10/day, you can use our tools, be assisted by staff, store your unfinished project and leave the mess behind! Whether you're with family and friends or simply enjoying some time alone, Yucandu is the perfect place to find your inspiration and get creative.
Prices for mosaic projects range from $20 to $120. Each project includes a generous set of basic supplies, which includes a huge "buffet" of tesserae (tiles), all the appropriate adhesives, grout, and paint. If you're a beginner, our staff will walk you through the process step by step, or if you're past that stage, our staff can simply assist you on an as needed basis..

The studio fee means we will teach you how, assist you and even do the clean up. All that for only $3/hr or $10/day--the best deal in town.
